| IIn order for Anyang Creek to recover as an eco-friendly river, many efforts for water quality improvements were conducted through dredging the river, creating a reed forest and planting pussy willows so carps, Prussian carps & cornet fish are coming up in droves from the Han River every breeding season (Apr~May). A man-made spawning ground is installed to help fish laying eggs & protecting their habitat. And it provides residents with an exciting site. |

In addition, Seoul city designated 318.8 thousand §³ of low-flow revetment & high-water land by the river within 1 km from Omokkyo near the downstream to Mokdongkyo as the winter migratory birds' sanctuary. This area was proved to be the best place for migratory birds owing to the diversity of creatures and of about 380 winter migratory birds, 6 species including wild ducks, pin tails & spot-billed ducks are actually living there. You can feel the seasonal changes seeing cherry blossoms & persimmon trees at the top of the creek and enjoy leisure in nature through sports facilities like jogging course, bicycle road, in-line skate alley, football field with sporting goods and rest places like picnic plaza at the lower end. |
